The average price of marine gas oil (MGO) at the port of
Singapore rose for the second consecutive month in May, whilst the ICE Gas Oil average dipped marginally, according to Bunker Index price data.
The ICE Gas Oil settlement average decreased by $0.34 per tonne, or 0.04 percent, to $907.20 per tonne in May. During the same period, the Singapore MGO average was up by $4 per tonne, or 0.44 percent, to $910 per tonne.
Between May 2013 and May 2014, the monthly MGO average in Singapore rose by $54 per tonne, or 6.3 percent, from $856 to $910 per tonne, whilst the ICE Gas Oil settlement average increased by $47.46 per tonne, or 5.52 percent, from $859.74 to $907.20 per tonne.
