New Times Shipbuilding has held a launch ceremony for two 155,500-deadweight-tonne (dwt) LNG dual-fuel crude oil tankers at its yard in Jiangsu, China.

The event, which took place on 29 July, marked the float-out of hull numbers 0315847 and 0315873. The two vessels are being built for separate Greek owners — Maran Tankers Management Inc. and Capital Ship Management Corp., respectively.

Representatives from the shipyard, the owners and classification societies were present at the ceremony.

As previously reported, New Times Shipbuilding also recently delivered two 155,500-dwt LNG dual-fuel crude tankers - hull numbers 0315812 and 0315844 - earlier this month. This was in addition to the 299,500-dwt LNG dual-fuel very large crude carrier (VLCC) Mount Vision, delivered on 7 July.

New Times Shipbuilding, based in Jingjiang, Jiangsu province, is part of China’s Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group.

Maran Tankers Management, part of the Angelicoussis Group, and Capital Ship Management, led by the Marinakis family, are among the larger Greek tanker operators active in the crude oil sector.
