KPI OceanConnect has advertised an internship position for a marine fuel trader in Singapore to support its bunker trading and operations team, according to a job posting published on LinkedIn.
The company said the role offers exposure to both the commercial and operational sides of the marine fuel business. Responsibilities include assisting traders with daily market analysis, price updates and the preparation of trading reports, as well as supporting operators in monitoring bunker deliveries, documentation processes and coordination with suppliers.
The intern will also conduct research on shipping movements, port activity and broader market trends, with particular focus on developments in China. Additional tasks include maintaining internal databases and trading systems, as well as contributing to projects related to supply-chain optimisation and market intelligence.
KPI OceanConnect noted that the position will provide insight into commodity-trading decision-making, risk considerations and documentation standards, alongside opportunities for collaboration across traders, operators and support functions.
Applicants should be pursuing a degree in business, maritime studies, engineering, or a related field, with proficiency in Mandarin required for daily handling of Chinese-language communications. The company is also seeking candidates with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of Microsoft Excel.
KPI OceanConnect stated that the vacancy is open for immediate recruitment and encouraged applications from candidates who may not meet all listed requirements, saying it welcomes applicants regardless of age, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, country of origin, or ethnicity.
Interested candidates should apply via the Jobs section of KPI OceanConnect's company page on LinkedIn.
