Monjasa is recruiting a supply bunker trader for its Singapore office to support the company’s purchasing platform across Asia’s biggest bunker hubs. The role, advertised on LinkedIn with applications open until 31 January 2026, centres on developing and maintaining relationships with bunker suppliers and identifying new supply options for the company’s back-to-back operations.

The position requires experience in the bunker and shipping industry, strong sales and customer handling skills, and fluency in written and oral English. Additional language capabilities, eg Mandarin, are considered an advantage when engaging with international clients.

According to the job description, the role involves daily trading activities, coordination with colleagues globally and operational tasks to ensure timely delivery between suppliers and customers. The trader will be based in Monjasa’s Singapore office and may be expected to travel internationally one to two times a year.

Monjasa also notes that the successful candidate will join a team-oriented trading floor characterised by an informal tone, flat organisational hierarchy and a working culture aligned with the company’s Danish heritage.

The company emphasises values such as Respect, Ambition, Curiosity and Smile & Joy, alongside its “Personal Business” approach. It highlights the opportunity for professional creativity and the potential to think beyond standard solutions when engaging with suppliers and market networks.

Founded in 2002, Monjasa is a global partner in the oil and shipping industries with both physical supply and B2B trading activities. In addition, it operates offices in Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City and Shanghai, and reports continued regional growth.

The organisation reported total revenue of US$4.4bn in 2023, equivalent to 6.5 million tonnes of marine fuels supplied. Monjasa’s fleet consists of 30 tankers and barges, and its operations are certified to ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 50001:2018, and ISO 9001:2015.

The Monjasa Group also includes offshore shipowning company CBED and is pursuing its Responsibility Framework, which includes enabling the use of environmentally friendly fuels as part of the maritime sector’s green transition.

Interested candidates can click here to apply for the position, and should contact Monjasa's HR recruitment team at hr.asia@monjasa.com or +65 3163 2308 for any queries.
