Fratelli Cosulich Marine Energy has held a launch ceremony for the Carlotta Cosulich, the third of four sister vessels in its new generation of methanol-ready IMO II bunker tankers, at Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipyard in China.

The ceremony brought together the project team, partners and stakeholders involved in the programme. Silvia Bordoni, General Manager of Fratelli Cosulich Marine Energy, served as the vessel’s godmother during the event.

The Carlotta Cosulich has been designed with MarineLINE-coated cargo tanks and methanol readiness incorporated from the outset, according to the company. It is also equipped with a 5-tonne cargo crane and dedicated arrangements for single-point mooring (SPM) operations, features designed to enhance its versatility across a range of bunkering operations.

As previously reported, Cosulich Marine Energy took delivery of the second methanol-ready tanker in the series, Lucia Cosulich, in July, whilst the first tanker, Anna Cosulich, was launched on 4 February 2026.
