Vopak appoints new Board member


Terminal operator nominates senior manager with experience in the oil, chemicals and gas industries.



Oil terminal operator, Vopak has announced the nomination of Mr. R.G.M. Zwitserloot [pictured] as member of the Supervisory Board from 1 October 2009.

"Mr. Zwitserloot’s extensive knowledge of and senior management experience in the oil, chemicals and gas industries and associated terminal activities complement those of the current members of the Supervisory Board," Vopak said.

The nomination of Mr. Zwitserloot follows the decision to increase the number of Supervisory Board members. A separate nomination for the succession of Mr. R.M.F. van Loon, who resigned per 17 March 2009 because of health reasons, is to follow in due course.

The nomination for appointment as member of the Supervisory Board will be on the agenda of the General Meeting of Shareholders to be held on 23 April 2009 at the World Trade Centre in Rotterdam. The agenda and shareholders’ circular of the meeting will be available on the Vopak website.

Mr. Zwitserloot is currently Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Wintershall Holding AG, Kassel Germany.
