Bunker trading firm Sing Fuels Pte. Ltd. has posted a vacancy for a junior supply trader at its office in Singapore.
The full-time role is aimed at candidates with one to two years of experience in bunker trading, marine fuels, shipping, or the wider maritime industry. Applicants are expected to hold a bachelor’s degree in maritime studies, supply chain, economics, or a related discipline.
According to the listing, the successful candidate will work alongside the business manager and trading team, supporting the coordination and execution of bunker supply transactions from deal confirmation through to final delivery and post-delivery reconciliation. Day-to-day responsibilities include liaising with customers, suppliers, barge operators, surveyors, and port authorities, as well as monitoring vessel schedules and managing transactional documentation such as contracts, invoices, and delivery records.
The role also encompasses market intelligence gathering and data analysis to support trading and business development activities, with the candidate expected to collaborate across internal departments including operations, finance, and compliance.
Sing Fuels states that the ability to communicate in Mandarin is a requirement, given the need to interact with Mandarin-speaking customers, suppliers, and business partners. The company also lists a willingness to work extended hours as a condition of employment, reflecting the around-the-clock nature of bunkering operations.
