CMA CGM adjusts Europe and Med bunker fees

New rates based on October Brent average.

CMA CGM has announced that it has adjusted its 'Emergency Bunker Recovery Measures' for long-haul cargo on short sea lines in Europe and the Mediterranean.

Explaining the reason for the decision, the French boxship operator said: "Because of rising oil prices, CMA CGM Group has decided to adjust the amount of the measure to recover this increase."

As from December 1, and until further notice, the new marine fuel surcharge will be:

Dry:
USD 55/TEU
EUR 45/TEU
GBP 39/TEU

Reefer:
USD 70/TEU
EUR 60/TEU
GBP 52/TEU

The new amounts are said to be based on the Brent average price in October.
