Capital Ship Management Corp. confirms that it has taken delivery of M/T Archigos, a 157,000-dwt Suezmax crude oil tanker constructed by HD Hyundai Samho Shipyard in South Korea.

The vessel is one of two sister ships scheduled for delivery in 2026 and is equipped with methanol-ready provisions, which the company notes will enable a future transition to alternative fuels in line with global decarbonisation goals.

According to Capital Ship Management, Archigos features an optimised hull, advanced propulsion systems, and energy-saving devices designed to reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

The tanker has been classed with Lloyd’s Register and is said to be fully compliant with IACS Common Structural Rules. It also meets ballast water management requirements, carries an EU inventory of hazardous materials (IHM+), and is fitted with a vapour emission control system (VECS).

Safety systems aboard include an enhanced survey programme (ESP), a certified inert gas system (IGS), and compliance with SIRE 2.0/VIQ 7 requirements.

Archigos is also equipped with HiNAS – Hyundai’s AI-based navigation assistance system – which is designed to provide real-time collision-risk detection and augmented-reality bridge visualisation to support situational awareness and voyage performance.
