Dan-Bunkering names Beijing manager

New manager returns from Singapore to head Beijing operation.

A/S Dan-Bunkering Ltd. has announced the appointment of Dave Zheng as manager of its new office in Beijing, China.

Zheng, aged 25, has recently returned to China after a period of studying and working in Singapore, the world's leading bunker port.

Søren Pedersen, Chief Representative A/S Dan-Bunkering Ltd., Shanghai, said: "Dan-Bunkering has been present in China since 2004, and the office in Beijing is a natural step to meet the increasing level of activity and also in line with the overall strategy.

"We expect further expansion in Asia and look forward to welcoming additional talented people to our offices in the region," added Pedersen.

Speaking to Bunker Index, Pedersen confirmed today that the company was still in the process of establishing the office in Beijing and that Zheng would be located in Shanghai until the launch of the company's new premises in the north. The launch date of the new Beijing office has so far 'not been fixed', Pedersen said.
