Dan-Bunkering Europe is seeking candidates for a two-year trainee programme aimed at developing the next generation of marine fuel traders, with positions based across its offices in Middelfart and Copenhagen, Denmark.
The programme, which carries an August 2026 start date, combines enrolment at the Danish Shipping Academy in Copenhagen — leading to a Professional Bachelor’s degree — with internal training, mentoring from experienced fuel suppliers, and direct involvement in day-to-day sales and trading operations.
According to the company, trainees will work closely with colleagues across Dan-Bunkering’s European offices in Middelfart, Copenhagen, Monaco and Groningen, with extended periods working from different locations expected during the course of the programme. Trainees will also engage with colleagues outside Europe in order to provide a “cross-continental commercial foundation.”
Dan-Bunkering states that no specific academic degree is required for the role, with the company placing emphasis instead on commercial drive, ambition and a strong interest in sales. A high level of English proficiency is listed as a requirement.
The trainee role will encompass bunker market analysis, client relationship management, price negotiation, and participation in customer and supplier meetings across Europe.
