World Fuel Services is seeking a Senior Sales Executive for its marine fuels division, based in London, according to a job listing published by the company on LinkedIn.

The role, which carries a hybrid working arrangement of two days per week in the office and three days working remotely, is focused on expanding World Fuel's customer portfolio.

According to the listing, the position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in marine fuels, marine energy, or a related shipping commercial environment. The company is looking for candidates with an established network of contacts within the shipping and bunker industries, along with demonstrated experience in developing new business and managing customer portfolios.

The successful applicant will be expected to identify and secure new business opportunities, manage existing customer accounts, and work alongside commercial, supply, credit, and operations teams. Responsibilities also include monitoring market trends and pricing dynamics, and contributing to commercial decision-making through customer insights.

World Fuel noted that the role will involve occasional travel within Europe and attendance at industry events and include exposure to emerging marine fuels and sustainability initiatives, reflecting a broader industry shift towards alternative and renewable fuel solutions.

A university degree in business, maritime studies, shipping, economics, or a related field is listed as a preferred qualification, along with additional language skills, which the company says are "highly desirable".
