World Fuel Services is recruiting a supply executive for its marine fuels desk in Singapore, with the hire focused on vendor management and sourcing across South-East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

The post will involve building new supplier partnerships, strengthening existing commercial relationships and assisting with day-to-day marine fuel activity.

Core duties cover identifying, researching and onboarding additional counterparties, maintaining regular contact through engagement and site visits, and assessing market trends, pricing dynamics and commodity movements to spot opportunities.

The Singapore-based executive will also help with service coordination, fuel delivery scheduling, claims resolution and issue management. Cross-functional work will be needed to support smooth execution and maintain satisfaction among vendors and customers.

World Fuel Services is considering applicants at different seniority levels, from early-career candidates to experienced professionals. Backgrounds in shipping, marine fuels, commodities, energy, trading or logistics would be advantageous, although direct industry experience is not mandatory.

The post calls for someone comfortable with numbers and pricing data, with the communication skills needed to build commercial relationships and negotiate clearly. Knowledge of counterparties and regional conditions in South-East Asia or Australia and New Zealand is desirable.

World Fuel operates as part of World Kinect and is one of the largest sellers of marine fuel globally.
