Bunker price volatility rose to its highest level since May during the month of July, according to Bunker Index price data.

In a comparison of low-to-high differentials for the daily Bunker Index (BIX) global average, July recorded a differential of $21.13 per tonne, up from $17.55 per tonne in June.

The lowest daily worldwide bunker average last month was $402.52 per tonne, recorded on the last trading day of July, whilst the highest price was $423.65 per tonne on 4th July.
