Island Oil has added the bunkering vessel Ruby to its fleet, following a Greek Orthodox blessing ceremony held on board on 10 December to mark the vessel's official entry into service.

The newly acquired vessel is the sister ship to Island Oil's existing bunkering vessel, Astraia. The firm noted that the addition enhances both capability and flexibility in meeting customer requirements for marine fuel deliveries.

Members of the crew and company staff attended the ceremony. As part of her arrival in Cyprus, Ruby passed in front of the company's seafront offices, a moment the firm described as especially meaningful for its team.

"The addition of Ruby enhances our fleet and supports our ongoing commitment to reliability, safety and high-quality service," Island Oil said.

Headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus, Island Oil (Holdings) Limited operates as a group of companies primarily dealing with the supply and trading of marine fuels. The group operates physical supply stations in Cyprus, Romania, and Israel, and has trading desks in Dubai, Hong Kong, London, Piraeus, Seoul, and Singapore.
