BIX 180 price summary: week 52


A summary of weekly global 180 centistoke (cSt) prices.



The Bunker Index 180 CST (BIX 180) - the worldwide daily 180 centistoke (cSt) average quoted in US$ per metric tonne - decreased by $3.65 per tonne, or 1.5 percent, during the six-day period between December 18 and December 24, according to Bunker Index price data.

The global 180 cSt price was $248.00 per tonne on the last trading day of last week, December 24, compared with $251.65 per tonne on December 18. It is the lowest end-of-week price of the year.

The $3.65 fall is the least significant since the week ending November 27, when a $1.80 decline was recorded.

Yesterday, the worldwide 180 cSt price was up $0.28 to $248.28 per tonne following a rise of $0.53 and $0.60 in Brent and WTI crude settlement prices respectively on Thursday.
