Rotterdam 380 cSt price summary: week 52


A summary of weekly Rotterdam 380 centistoke (cSt) prices.



Bunker suppliers at the port of Rotterdam were quoting 380 centistoke (cSt) product at below $140 per tonne every day last week as marine fuel prices fell for the fourth consecutive week between December 18 and December 24, according to Bunker Index price data.

In week 52, the Rotterdam 380 cSt bunker price fell $2.50, or 1.8 percent, to $139.00 per tonne, compared with the previous Friday price.

It is the first time since Bunker Index began publishing Rotterdam 380 cSt prices in April 2008 that daily assessment prices below $140 per tonne for 380 cSt have been recorded.

During the week, price increases of $1.50 and $1.00 - seen on Wednesday and Thursday respectively - were outweighed by decreases of $3.00 and $2.00 on Monday and Tuesday, with Friday trading closed due to the Christmas Day holiday.

The week's lowest daily assessment price of $136.50 per tonne was recorded on Tuesday, December 22, and the lowest intra-day quote of $133.00 on the same day.
