Fuel oil storage project in South China

First phase construction work begins on new oil facility in China.

Shanghai-based China Huaxin Energy Ltd. has begun construction work on a new oil facility in Hainan Province, located in the south of the country.

According to a statement on the company's website, China Huaxin intends to build 4.2 million cubic metres of storage for fuel oil and 7.8 million cubic metres of tank capacity for crude oil.

The company said that in the first construction phase 600,000 cubic metres of fuel oil storage and 2 million cubic metres of crude storage will be built.

A timeline for the project was not provided.
