Petrobras announces holiday schedule

Clients asked to pay 'special attention' to supplies over the Christmas period.

Brazilian bunker supplier Petroleo Brasileiro (Petrobras) S.A. has announced its holiday schedule for the Christmas holiday period.

The company's Brazilian office will be closed on the following days in December and January.

- From Wednesday 24th to Friday 26th, inclusive
- From Wednesday 31st to Friday 2nd January, inclusive

In a message sent by Petrobras to customers, the company pointed out that as the bunker department would only be working on Monday and Tuesday during the last two weeks of the year, it strongly advised customers to pay "special attention" to supplies scheduled to take place over the Christmas period.

Petrobras has asked clients to pay particular attention to those ports where customs offices have a minimum notice period in place, as is the case with Rio de Janeiro, Belem, Vitoria and adjacent ports.

Earlier this week, Petrobras advised customers that all nominations for the ports of Rio de Janeiro and Niteroi would need to be confirmed by the Brazilian Customs Office at least 72 hours before supply operations take place.

The company added that any changes to bunker nominations as well as outstanding payments must be resolved before the 72-hour deadline.
