KPI OceanConnect is seeking a marine fuel trading intern to join its China Trading team, based in Singapore, according to a job listing posted on 30 June.

The position is aimed at final-year undergraduates or recent graduates in disciplines including business, economics, maritime studies, engineering or finance.

According to the posting, the intern will support the China Trading team with daily market analysis, pricing updates and trade-related research, while also assisting with quotation preparation, commercial reports and trading data. The role also involves working with the operations team on bunker delivery execution, documentation and supplier coordination.

KPI OceanConnect notes that the successful candidate will gain exposure to the full trade lifecycle — from pricing and negotiations through to delivery and post-trade operations — alongside mentorship from experienced traders and operations professionals.

Excellent proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required, given the position’s focus on the China market and regular communication with Chinese-speaking customers and suppliers.
