Lubrizol announces staff changes


Marine fuel additives supplier says changes are designed to improve profitability.



Marine fuel additives supplier Lubrizol Corporation has announced a number of officer changes, which the company says is "designed to better support the company's business objectives", which include driving organic growth, strengthening the product portfolio and improving profitability.

Steve Kirk has been elevated to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, in charge of both Lubrizol Additives and Lubrizol Advanced Materials business segments.

Larry Norwood has been promoted to Corporate Vice President, Operations, leading operations personnel and infrastructure for both Lubrizol Additives and Lubrizol Advanced Materials.

Dan Sheets has been promoted to Corporate Vice President and President of Lubrizol Additives.

Bob Graf has been promoted to Corporate Vice President, R&D, leading research strategy and the development of its scientific community for both Lubrizol Additives and Lubrizol Advanced Materials.

Greg Lewis has been promoted to Corporate Vice President, Global Risk Management and Chief Ethics Officer, with oversight of loss prevention activities; the health, safety, environment and security function and corporate ethics for both Lubrizol Additives and Lubrizol Advanced Materials.

In a statement the company said "The newly appointed leadership will focus on enhancing product innovations across the enterprise, improving operating efficiencies across the global manufacturing and supply chain structure, managing enterprise risk and executing key bolt-on acquisitions that are complementary to existing product lines."

Lubrizol markets marine fuel additives for both marine distillate and residual fuel oils. The company claims its unique proprietary fuel additive technology provides a number of benefits for marine fuels of all types, including a reduction in smoke emissions; stable oil consumption in four stroke engines; reduced lube oil fouling and a reduction of soot in the receiver box of two stroke engines.

The company also offers a full range of gasoline, diesel and biodiesel fuel additives for the bulk market as well as additives for the industrial fuels and home heating oil markets.
