BIX MGO price summary: week 36


A summary of weekly global marine gas oil (MGO) prices.



The Bunker Index MGO (BIX MGO) - the worldwide daily marine gas oil (MGO) average quoted in US$ per metric tonne - rose to its highest end-of-week level in three weeks on September 4, according to Bunker Index price data.

The global MGO price rose by $12.12 per tonne, or 1.9 percent, to $637.79 per tonne on Friday compared with $625.67 per tonne on August 28.

It is the first end-of-week increase in 12 weeks. The $12.12 rise is the most significant in 30 weeks - since the week ending February 6.
