Bunker price volatility dipped to its third-highest level of the year so far during the month of August, according to Bunker Index price data.

In a comparison of low-to-high differentials for the daily Bunker Index (BIX) global average, August recorded a differential of $48.98 per tonne, down from $51.37 per tonne in July.

The highest daily global bunker average last month was $470.17 per tonne, recorded on August 3, whilst the lowest price was $421.19 per tonne on August 27.
