Taichung 380 cst deliveries to be suspended


Supplies of 380 cst are due to be halted whilst maintenance work is carried out on a delivery barge.



Taiwan's state-owned petroleum, natural gas, and gasoline company, CPC Corporation, is due to suspend the supply of 380 centistoke (cst) marine fuel at the port of Taichung for a period of 55 days from the end of May, Platts reports.

Deliveries of 380 cst will be halted by bunker supplier CPC whilst maintenance work is carried out on its delivery barge. However, the company has confirmed that it will continue to supply 180 cst, marine diesel oil (MDO) and marine gasoil (MGO) during this period.

CPC previously suspended deliveries of 380 cst fuel at Taichung in December 2012 in order to carry out maintenance on a storage tank at the port.

CPC is estimated to have sold 1.35 million metric tonnes of bunker fuel last year at the ports of Kaohsiung, Keelung, Taichung, Hualien and Suao.

Taichung is Taiwan's second largest bunker port after Kaohsiung.
