IBIA appoints board members

Latest appointments will take effect on 1 April 2013.

The International bunker industry association (IBIA) has appointed Mustafa Muhtaroglu (Energy Petrol, Istanbul) as a new board member and re-elected Dilip Mody (Global Fuels & Lubricants, India) and Jens Maul Jorgensen (Oldendorff Carriers, Germany) to its board.

Muhtaroglu replaces immediate past chairman Bob Lintott. The appointments take effect on 1 April 2013.

Welcoming the appointments, IBIA Chairman Nigel Draffin said: "We’re delighted to welcome Mustafa Muhtaroglu to the board and pleased that IBIA will continue to benefit from the input of Dilip Mody and Jens Maul Jorgensen. Members of the IBIA board are drawn from all areas of the international bunkering industry and bring a huge amount of experience to the organisation. IBIA also thanks Bob Lintott for his dedication and support to the association over the years."

There were two further candidates for the three positions: Chris Fisher of Brookes Bell and Donald Gregory of Sustainable Maritime Solutions.

"The final selection was made by applying a criteria based on the geographical spread of the candidates in accordance with IBIA byelaws," IBIA said.
