The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) is set to hold a marine fuels forum in Hong Kong on 19 November 2026, bringing together industry participants for discussions on the fuels currently in use across shipping and those under consideration for broader future adoption.
The event, taking place during Hong Kong Maritime Week 2026, will be held at the Renaissance Hong Kong Harbour View Hotel from 13:30–20:30 and will conclude with a networking cocktail reception.
According to IBIA, the forum will examine the practical and commercial realities surrounding a range of alternative fuels, including biofuels, LNG, methanol, and ethanol. Topics include fuel availability, infrastructure readiness, regulation, compliance, and future adoption prospects.
The forum is being held in partnership with the Global Centre for Green Fuels (GCGF). Places are said to be limited.
The association has published an agenda for the event via its community portal, whilst registration is available by clicking here.
