KPI Bridge Oil hires Singapore MD


Andrew Cheah is named Managing Director of KPI Bridge Oil's Singapore operation.



KPI Bridge Oil, a leading global broker and trader in marine fuels, lubricants and risk management products, has appointed Mr. Andrew Cheah [pictured] as Managing Director of its Singapore operation - KPI Bridge Oil Singapore Pte Ltd.

Cheah has more than 17 years' experience in the bunker and shipping industries. Amongst a number of positions in the bunker industry, he served as General Manager of Business Development and Marketing at Global Energy International Ltd.

Prior to this, Cheah was with Shell Marine Products as its Regional Fuels Sales Manager for the Asia-Pacific Region in Singapore. He was also Marine Sales Manager at Ocean Bunkering Services (Pte.) Ltd.

Cheah graduated from the University of Southern California with a major in Marketing Management.

Commenting on the appointment, Jan Obel, CEO KPI Bridge Oil, said: "We are very pleased to have such a seasoned bunker and marine professional joining our team. With Andrew’s proven track record of successes in the bunker industry, and an in-depth knowledge of the Asia market and Middle East he is no doubt going to be a valuable addition to our already successful team in Singapore."
