Odfjell to build Le Havre storage terminal

First phase terminal storage capacity is expected to be approximately 200,000 cubic metres.

Grand Port Maritime du Havre (GMPH) has selected a proposal by Odfjell Terminals (Europe) B.V. to develop a green field liquid bulk storage terminal in the industrial zone of Le Havre Port. The site of the new project is located along the Grand Canal Maritime and covers approximately 30 hectares.

In the coming months, a feasibility study will be carried out for a terminal consisting of approximately 200,000 cubic metres storage capacity in the first phase. Odfjell and GPMH aim to finalize the project details and reach an agreement on a Site Reservation Protocol by 1 April 2013.

Odfjell Terminals (Europe) B.V. is a subsidiary of OTLG C.V, which is a joint venture company between Odfjell Terminals B.V. and Lindsay Goldberg LLC.

Le Havre is one of the largest ports in North Europe. As a deep-water seaport accessible around the clock, Le Havre can accommodate all types of vessels. It is also a major industrial port zone and is amongst the leading European ports for energy and chemicals.
