Utility buys fuel oil cargo via tender

Parcel of high sulphur fuel oil is scheduled for delivery in May.

Korea East-West Power Co. Ltd. (EWP) has purchased 20,000 tonnes of high sulphur fuel oil, according to news agency Reuters.

The South Korean generation company, owned by the government-run Korea Electric Power Corporation, is said to have bought the 2.5 percent maximum sulphur cargo via a tender that closed on April 30.

The fuel oil parcel is due for delivery at the port of Ulsan between May 3-5. The deal price and name of the supplier were not disclosed.
