South China fuel oil stocks dip 0.5%

Fuel oil inventories in South China fall slightly in the week up to 20th July.

Fuel oil inventories at South China's major petroleum terminals dipped 10,000 metric tonnes, or 0.5 percent, in the week up to 20th July 2011, local firm C1 Energy reports.

Stocks of fuel oil fell to 1.93 - 1.95 million metric tonnes between 14th and 20th July. The figure was 280,000 metric tonnes higher than during the corresponding period last year, data showed.

Approximately 14,000 tonnes of fuel oil left the region's oil terminals during this 7-day period with Chimbusco Pan Nation exporting 9,600 tonnes of mixed/cracked fuel oil to Hong Kong from the Guishan terminal.

The tank storage facilities surveyed include PetroChina Fuel Oil's Zhanjiang oil terminal, Titan's Xiaohudao oil terminal, Zhanjiang Port oil terminal, BP's Nansha oil terminal, Dongguan Jinming oil terminal, Sinochem-Gree oil terminal, Yuehai's Xiaohudao oil terminal, Chimbusco's Zhuhai Guishan oil terminal and Xiji oil terminal.

The total capacity of the tank farms is around 2.7 million cubic metres.
