Burando Energies, a physical supplier and trader of marine fuels with offices in Rotterdam, Copenhagen, Dubai and Houston, is seeking to hire an operator based in Rotterdam to support its bunkering activities.

The role involves planning, coordinating and monitoring operational activities across the company's bunkering business. According to the job description, the successful candidate will act as a liaison between trading, operations, agents and external parties, ensuring that commercial activities are translated into effective logistical planning and operational execution. The position reports to the team lead for operations.

Among the responsibilities listed, the operator will be expected to verify the suitability of customers and vessels for bunker operations, manage scheduling adjustments in response to operational changes, monitor loading and discharging operations of bunker vessels, and support the handling of claims, disputes and demurrage. The role also includes participation in a shift roster covering evenings and weekends.

Candidates are required to hold a minimum MBO 4 or HBO qualification — preferably in logistics, supply chain, maritime or a commercial discipline — along with at least two years of relevant experience in operations, planning, logistics or a commodity trading environment. Proficiency in both Dutch and English is required. Experience with tank storage operations and knowledge of sustainability frameworks, including the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) scheme, is listed as an advantage.

The position is full-time at 40 hours per week. The advertised gross monthly salary ranges from €3,200 to €3,900, depending on experience, and includes 25 days of annual leave, a travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre, and access to training and personal development opportunities.

Interested candidates are invited to submit a CV and cover letter to HR@burandoenergies.com.
