North American ECA report published

Study examines the impact of the upcoming ECA on bunkering in the region.

Broker and commercial consulting company Poten & Partners is this month releasing a study that examines how the upcoming North American Emissions Control Area (ECA) regulations will affect bunkering in the region.

Entitled 'North America ECA 2012-2020: Impact on US and Canada Marine Fuel Supply and Demand', the report is said to examine 'the questions on everybody’s mind', namely:

-What would the availability of low-sulphur marine bunker fuel look like?

-How will future marine gasoil/diesel demand be met?

-How will regulations affect fuel oil producers and consumers?

The study will be published mid-June 2011.
