BCI merges with Brookes Bell

Bunker Claims International in tie-up with UK-based marine consultancy.

Brookes Bell LLP, a UK-based marine, scientific and technical consultancy and surveyor, has taken over the bunker advisory services of Bunker Claims International (BCI).

The deal will see former BCI Managing Director, Chris Fisher, act as a consultant to Brookes Bell where he will continue to provide bunker advisory services to ship owners, law firms and other organizations involved in the supply and purchase of marine fuel.

Fisher, a former Chairman of the International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) from 2009 to 2010 is co-author of the book Bunkers - An analysis of the practical, technical and legal issues, regarded as an important information resource for the bunker industry.

"The combination of BCI with our existing fuel chemists and marine engineers now gives Brookes Bell unequalled bunker and bunker claims expertise," Brookes Bell said in a statement.
