The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) has announced the nominees for its 2026 board election, with voting scheduled to open on Monday, 5 January.

A total of 11 candidates have been nominated to contest four available seats on the IBIA board. The nominees represent a broad cross-section of the global bunker industry, spanning multiple regions and professional disciplines.

The candidates standing for election are:

• Dr Bader Bhaishan AlBusaiyes – Founder and managing partner, AlSuwaiket & AlBusaiyes Lawyers Co. (Saudi Arabia)
• Eugenia Benavides – Consultant (Colombia)
• Claudia Beumer – Owner and director, C4 Fuel B.V. (Netherlands)
• Gianmichele Campanella – General manager, Fratelli Cosulich (Monaco)
• Calvin Chung – Director, CPN (Chimbusco Pan Nation) (Hong Kong)
• Nigel Draffin – Consultant and lecturer (United Kingdom)
• Samir Fernandez – Director of Marine Fuel Solutions, Moeve (Spain)
• George Masvoulas – Group managing director, Petro Inspect Group (Greece)
• Julie Nielsen – Global head of bunker sales, StormGeo AS (Denmark)
• Carlos Torres – Global head of methanol and strategic relationships, Bunker Holding A/S (Denmark)
• Susu Zhang – Head of shipping projects and partnerships, BP (United Kingdom)

IBIA said full candidate profiles and electoral statements have been published on its website and encouraged members to review the information ahead of voting.

The election results will be announced at the IBIA annual general meeting on Monday, 9 February 2026. Newly elected board members will take up their positions from 1 April 2026.
