Japanese firm to build low-emission cruise ships - source

Japanese shipbuilding firm Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. is due to begin efforts to revive its luxury ship business by constructing low-emission cruise ships, according to news source Yomiuri.

The daily Japanese newspaper said Mitsubishi Heavy, which has not received a luxury ship order in the past 10 years, will be deploying 700 engineers at its Nagasaki shipyard, located in the south of Japan.

The company is said to be targeting sales of 60 billion yen (US$659 million) over the next four years.
