Sallaum Lines has taken delivery of a new pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) vessel, MV Ocean Explorer, according to the company.

The 200-metre vessel was built by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding and features LNG dual-fuel propulsion systems designed to reduce CO₂, NOx, and SOx emissions compared to conventional marine fuel systems.

The vessel is part of Sallaum Lines' Ocean Class fleet and forms part of the company's fleet expansion strategy, the RORO carrier operator said.

Sallaum Lines operates roll-on/roll-off shipping services globally, specializing in the transportation of vehicles and rolling cargo.

The delivery of MV Ocean Explorer adds to the company's fleet of PCTCs, which are purpose-built vessels designed to transport cars, trucks, and other wheeled cargo.

The vessel's delivery was announced on 7 January.
