Burando Atlantic Group, a global maritime services provider, has published its first sustainability report. The company announced the release on 15 December, setting out its approach to environmental responsibility across its maritime operations.

The report outlines how the group is addressing emissions reduction and transparency in its business activities. Moreover, it represents the first time Burando Atlantic Group has consolidated its sustainability strategy into a dedicated public document.

At the same time, Burando Energies, a division of the group which specializes in the supply of marine fuels, has completed its latest ISCC EU recertification audit. The process resulted in a one-year extension of its certification, which covers sustainability compliance and traceability requirements for biofuels.

The ISCC EU scheme is widely used to demonstrate alignment with European Union sustainability criteria for biofuels and bioliquids. It focuses in particular on supply chain traceability and emissions performance.

Burando Atlantic Group said the combination of publishing the report and renewing certification reflects a move from stated intentions to measurable progress. “Together we take concrete action toward a cleaner, safer, and more future-proof maritime sector,” the company said.

Rotterdam-based Burando Energies is a bunker supplier in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) region and Hamburg, with a dedicated blending facility that enables the firm to offer renewable content blends ranging from 7% up to 100% biodiesel.

The sustainability report is available for download on the company's website.
