New Sea Generation has advertised a junior bunker trader position in Glyfada, Greece, emphasising the role's demanding nature and the level of commitment expected of candidates.
In the job post, the Italy-headquartered bunker trading company said it is looking for people who can work in a fast-paced environment where pressure is constant, decisions must be made quickly, and accountability is essential.
The company also made it clear that the position extends beyond standard office hours, saying candidates should be prepared to handle operational issues outside the normal working day, including at night.
New Sea Generation stated: “We don’t hire employees. We build bunker traders.”
“This is not a 9–6 job. This is a lifestyle,” the bunker firm added.
The vacancy is aimed at candidates who want to develop into bunker traders in what New Sea Generation describes as a demanding, high-performance setting.
The firm explained that it is prepared to invest in those who are suited to the role, while noting that the position may not be right for everyone.
Candidates interested in the Glyfada position have been invited to contact management@newseageneration.it for further information.
According to the online job post, which was first created on 1 April and no longer accepting invitations, there have been a total of 26 applicants for the role.
