Navilands Group has selected ABS Wavesight's digital platform to help streamline compliance with the FuelEU Maritime Regulation and EU Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) requirements across its fleet.
The Greek shipping company will implement the Carbon Diligence suite, part of the ABS Wavesight Advantage platform, across a selection of bulkers and containerships, with further expansion planned by year-end.
From January 1, 2025, companies with ships calling at EU ports are required to collect and report key fuel-related data for submission to verifiers. The ABS Wavesight platform claims to offer automated data reporting and simplify the process of submitting data for statutory verification to ABS through an API connection.
"ABS Wavesight is proud to support Navilands as they take proactive steps to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving regulatory environment," said Staci Satterwhite, CEO of ABS Wavesight. "Our platform is built to adapt and scale with precision, empowering clients to navigate environmental regulations with confidence and ease."
Panagiotis Foinikis, CEO of Navilands Group, noted: "Navilands uniquely combines a strong people-first approach with cutting-edge technology and environmental responsibility; objectives we share with all of our partners and suppliers. ABS Wavesight Advantage offers our teams a simplified compliance path for our fleet and peace of mind to our clients."
ABS Wavesight is the software-as-a-service affiliate of classification society ABS. According to the company, its products are installed on more than 5,000 vessels across the global fleet.
