Singapore MGO vs ICE Gas Oil in June


Analysis of Singapore marine gas oil (MGO) and ICE Gas Oil prices last month.



The average price of marine gas oil (MGO) at the port of Singapore rose at a higher percentage rate than ICE Gas Oil in June, according to Bunker Index and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) price data.

The ICE Gas Oil settlement average increased by $20.21 per tonne, or 4.76 percent, to $444.36 per tonne last month. During the same period, the Singapore MGO average was up $25.00 per tonne, or 6.0 percent, to $441 per tonne.

Between June 2015 and June 2016 the monthly MGO average in Singapore was down $124 per tonne, or 21.9 percent, from $565 to $441 per tonne, whilst the ICE Gas Oil settlement average is lower by $135.14 per tonne, or 23.3 percent, from $579.50 to $444.36 per tonne.
