Hapag-Lloyd revises bunker charges


New surcharges are effective from April 1.



Container shipping line Hapag-Lloyd AG has announced revised bunker-related charges from/to North Europe, the Mediterranean, and South and West Africa.

The charges are effective from April 1, 2016.

A summary of the charges has been provided below.

North Europe:

- Bunker Charge (BUC) and Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge (LSF) for North European export trades.

- Emergency Bunker Surcharge (EBS), Emergency Fuel Surcharge (EFS) and Interim Fuel Participation (IFP) application from/to North Europe.

Mediterreanean and Black Sea

- Bunker Charge (BUC) and Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge (LSF) for Mediterranean and Black Sea export trades.

- Emergency Bunker Surcharge (EBS), Emergency Fuel Surcharge (EFS) and Interim Fuel Participation (IFP) application from/to Mediterranean and Black Sea.

South Africa and West Africa

- Bunker Charge (BUC) and Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge (LSF) for South African and West African export trades.

- Emergency Bunker Surcharge (EBS) application from/to South Africa and West Africa.
