Hapag-Lloyd lowers BFF for eastbound trans-Pacific trade


New bunker fuel factor (BFF) is due to become effective in April.



Europe's fourth-largest container shipping line, Hapag-Lloyd AG, has announced that from April 1 it will be lowering the bunker fuel factor (BFF) for all dry, reefer, flat rack and open-top containers from Asia. The scope includes East Asia and Indian Subcontinent to all USA and Canada destinations.

Effective April 1, 2016 the BFF will be as follows:
