Rotterdam Market Report

Market report from Marine Bunkering (Rotterdam) B.V.

Crude:

Despite early expectations for growth, the final result of today's session is another decline of world fuel indices.

Iran expects no major decisions that would change OPEC's output target when the group gathers Dec. 4 in Vienna. At the same time, Iran is going to announce plans to expand output: to pump an additional 500,000 barrels a day once international sanctions over its nuclear program are lifted.

OPEC has produced above its own quota of 30 million barrels a day every month since May 2014. OPEC's activity is paying off, as U.S. shale drillers idle rigs and major oil companies reduce investment

Bunker Market:

5-6 VLCC with HSFO are leaving Rotterdam in December. This could take away the downward pressure on prices.
