BMS United Bunkers expands Asia team


Bunker firm appoints two new members of staff in Singapore.



BMS United Bunkers has announced that Yoric Rodrigues and Haikal Razak have joined its trading team in Singapore.

According to his LinkedIn profile, senior bunker trader Yoric Rodrigues previously worked as both Voyage Manager and Regional Commercial Operations Manager, Asia Pacific for Teekay Corporation between 2011 and 2015.

The new members of staff will report to Managing Director - Asia, George Kounalakis, BMS United Bunkers confirmed in an emailed statement.

"The company group is growing steadily and sustainably. Just last year, BMS United Bunkers operated in over 80 ports in Asia and providing exclusive global maritime oil solutions. BMS United Bunkers regularly offers support to our clients regarding marine fuel oil products and offshore services. We have been helping both Asia and overseas companies grow year on year by providing simple, cost-effective, one-stop purchase solution," BMS United Bunkers stated.

BMS Bunkers and Asian bunker trading specialist United Bunkering and Trading (UBT) merged their respective businesses to form BMS United Bunkers in June 2014.

As a merged firm, BMS United Bunkers now combines the offices of BMS Bunkers in Greece and Argentina with the offices of United Bunkering and Trading located in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia and Taiwan.
