Endofa hires trading manager

Peter Grunwaldt to head up the firm's commercial trading department.

Bunker firm Endofa has appointed Peter Grunwaldt to head up its commercial trading department.

Grunwaldt is an experienced member of the shipping industry. Prior to joining Endofa, he was CEO of Russian bunker company Soyuz Bunkering Group and has also worked for Maersk and Glencore in a number of roles.

Later, he was assigned to the role of purchasing 4-5 million metric tonnes of fuel per year for the group's Far East and Middle East portfolio.

In 2001, Grunwaldt transferred to Singapore to set up the Maersk Bunker purchasing office in the city-state, where he was responsible for a 5 million-metric-tonne-a-year portfolio.

In 2006, Grunwald worked as General Manager of Bunker Purchasing for ST Shipping, owned by the Glencore Group, where he established a physical purchasing desk for a fleet of over 200 tankers. He was also active in developing the firm's derivative transactions and hedging strategy.
