Singapore MGO vs ICE Gas Oil


Analysis of Singapore marine gas oil (MGO) and ICE Gas Oil prices in June.



The average price of marine gas oil (MGO) at the port of Singapore fell at a slightly lower rate than ICE Gas Oil during the month of June, according to Bunker Index and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) price data.

The ICE Gas Oil settlement average decreased by $21.31 per tonne, or 3.54 percent, to $579.50 per tonne in June. During the same period, the Singapore MGO average was down by $20 per tonne, or 3.42 percent, to $565 per tonne.

Between June 2014 and June 2015, the monthly MGO average in Singapore declined by $340 per tonne, or 37.6 percent, from $905 to $565 per tonne, whilst the ICE Gas Oil settlement average decreased by $332.25 per tonne, or 36.4 percent, from $911.75 to $579.50 per tonne.
