Bunker price volatility during the month of May dipped to its lowest level since August 2014, according to Bunker Index price data.

In a comparison of low-to-high differentials for the daily Bunker Index (BIX) global average, May recorded a differential of $14.62 per tonne, down from $34.92 per tonne in April.

The lowest daily global bunker average last month was $534.57 per tonne, recorded on May 1, whilst the highest price was $549.19 per tonne on May 7.
