Bunker Holding appoints COO

Newly appointed COO, Søren Høll, has 28 years' experience in the bunker industry.

Bunker Holding, the parent company of a group of bunker companies worldwide, has appointed Søren Høll [pictured] as COO. Høll will be situated at the company’s headquarters in Middelfart, Denmark, but his role will also be to travel frequently to the group's subsidiaries around the world.

Høll has a wealth of experience in the bunker business after having worked at Dan-Bunkering, a subsidiary of Bunker Holding, for 28 years.

Høll began working at Dan-Bunkering in 1985 as a trainee. After completing his apprenticeship, he worked as a bunker trader, and was promoted to the position of Team Leader, where he was responsible for managing his own trading team within the Middelfart sales department.

Hereafter, Høll took part in the start-up and development of the company’s branch office in China. In 2009, the internal structure in Dan-Bunkering was changed and Høll was appointed International Sales Manager of Dan-Bunkering with overall responsibility for all the company’s offices abroad. His last position was Head of Operations Europe/Asia & Senior Vice President.

"We are very pleased to have Søren as part of our management team at Bunker Holding. His many years with Dan-Bunkering have given him a thorough knowledge and experience within all aspects of the bunker business, which we as well as our other subsidiaries can now benefit from. At the same time, our group’s culture and values are part of Søren’s way of working, which is also a major plus in his future work of further developing and growing the subsidiaries’ business activities in close cooperation with the subsidiaries themselves," said Keld R. Demant, Group CEO.
