FuelTrax obtains EU patent protection

EU patent covers nine European countries.

Nautical Control Solutions, LP (NCS) has announced that its FuelTrax Marine Fuel Management System has been granted patent protection by the European Patent Office (EPO). The EPO is a member of the Trilateral Cooperation established in 1983 between the European, Japanese, and United States patent offices.

"We announced our Canadian patent last year and are pleased to be able to expand protection to include the EU," said Anthony George, CEO of NCS. "Under the EPO we selected the countries we believe will offer us the largest blanket of protection within the European community."

The FuelTrax EU patent includes the following countries:

United Kingdom
Germany
France
The Netherlands
Denmark
Italy
Austria
Switzerland
Greece

Mr. George continued, "We were granted our first patent in the United States in 2006 and now with the addition of the EU, are protected in 11 countries. It is important to have these protections in place as we continue to invest in our product offerings and expand globally to serve a growing user community."

NCS is a leading developer of marine fuel management systems technology. Its patented FuelTrax Marine Fuel Management system entered the market in 2006 and is now used by hundreds of vessels worldwide. The company is based in Houston, Texas.
