ICS Petroleum appoints general manager

Experienced shipping industry professional joins Vancouver-based bunker supply firm.

Vancouver-based bunker supply firm ICS Petroleum Ltd. - part of Aegean Marine Petroleum Network Inc. - has appointed David Telfer as its new general manager.

Telfer, who began his new role at the start of this month, was previously employed as a marine surveyor at General Maritime Corporation - a leading provider of seaborne energy transportation services - between July 2006 and January 2013.

For almost fourteen years - between April 1992 and February 2006 - Telfer was operations manager at Certispec Services Inc. The company provides inspection, sampling, surveying and testing services for companies involved in the trade of commodities or use of deep sea cargo vessels.

The appointment of Telfer follows the recent departure of bunker trader Helen Lee in January.

According to a source at the company, Lee, who spezialized in catering for the needs of clients in the Pacific region, has retired from the marine fuels industry following a long career.
